Dr. Margaret Amaka Ohia-Nowak is a DEI expert, certified intercultural trainer, FRIS® trainer, and anti-discrimination educator. She specializes in inclusive communication, inclusive language, and combating racism in the workplace. She helps organizations effectively manage diversity and prevent exclusion and discrimination.
Dr. Margaret Amaka Ohia-Nowak is an expert in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She is a certified intercultural trainer, FRIS® certified trainer, and an anti-discrimination trainer. She specializes in inclusive communication, inclusive language, and combating racism in the workplace. She assists organizations in effectively managing diversity and preventing exclusion and discrimination.
She is an expert at the Diversity Hub Think Tank and a lecturer at the Tischner European University in Kraków. She collaborates with organizations such as New Visions, the Center for Research on Prejudice, and Polish Humanitarian Action.
Margaret holds a PhD in linguistics with a focus on the language of stereotypes and prejudice from the University of Wrocław, as well as a master's degree in cultural studies from Jagiellonian University. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.
She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Empathetic Language Dictionary, the founder of the Center for Intersectional Justice in Poland, and a member of the Association of Poles of African Descent, SIETAR Poland, and the "Never Again" Association.
